Welcome to the website for Dr. Linda Berg-Cross, Professor of Psychology at Howard University.

I am a Professor of Psychology and core faculty in the Clinical Psychology PhD Program at Howard University. I have been at Howard since 1981 and over many years have explored a variety of family related research topics.

Currently, the lab is focused on family sleep psychology, particularly the effects of sleep deprivation on family interactions and family resiliency, focusing on how to predict which parenting behaviors are most important in creating resilient preschoolers, and the relationship between sleep deprivation and psychological abuse. We are also starting an exploration of the different challenges by refugee and immigrant families and how it affects their behavioral health.

I am licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia and have a small practice in Maryland.
